Distinguished experts welcomed the occasion of GAAMAC I Opening. Their remarks were addressed to representatives from 52 states, the United Nations, regional organisations, international non-governmental organisations (NGOs), and experts in the prevention of mass atrocity crimes, who participated in the first international meeting of GAAMAC in March 2014 in Costa Rica.
As a highlight from GAAMAC I, we feature their messages in our spotlight again. Click here to see more messages and recordings from the meeting.
We are very pleased to announce that speakers at GAAMAC II will include: Nobel Laureate Jose Ramos-Horta, UN Under-Secretary General Adama Dieng, UN Special Rapporteur on Minorities Rita Iszak, and representatives from the International Criminal Court (ICC), UN Office of the High Commission for Human Rights (OHCHR), and numerous State ministries and specialist NGOs. Please stay tuned!
