The Global Initiative for Justice, Truth and Reconciliation (GIJTR) is issuing a call for applications from highly motivated youth activists and/or representatives of youth-led organization to participate in a twelve-month project that aims to center youth voices in atrocity prevention efforts by building their capacities as active agents of peace and security in their communities and drawing on their expertise to develop youth-driven strategies for youth engagement in atrocity prevention efforts.
The GIJTR is seeking youth applicants (35 years or younger) from Kenya, Ethiopia, Ivory Coast, Afghanistan, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Poland, or the Balkans to participate in a year-long project focused on building capacities of youth and youth-led organizations in atrocity prevention.
Selected participants will implement their own community projects, participate in an international roundtable and lead the development of a toolkit focussed on developing youth-driven engagement strategies in atrocity prevention efforts.
