The United Kingdom Foreign Affairs Committee announced on 27 April an inquiry into the responsibility to protect and humanitarian intervention. It invited interested organizations and individuals to send written submissions by 13 May, or to provide oral evidence. Peace Direct provided written evidence, recommending the UK Government take a global leadership role in atrocity prevention and develop a specific atrocity prevention strategy in line with the National Security Strategy.

GAAMAC III participant and Director of Research and Policy at Protection Approaches, Dr. Kate Ferguson, provided oral evidence on 1 May. The written evidence of the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office can be found here.
