Associate Professor and GAAMAC III participant Ernesto Verdeja has compiled a brief overview of the conditions that may lead to atrocities. He has identified several factors as being particularly pertinent. These include: a history of unpushished violence, instability, support for radical ideologies, autocratic regimes, and the regional and international context.
