29 Apr 2021 | Online
Organized By : The Post-Conflict Research Center (PCRC)
On April 29, join us during a special session on preventing and combatting hate speech and incitement to violence within the 24-hour global vigil to conclude Genocide Awareness Month and unite allies in remembrance, learning, and activism. Post-Conflict Research Center and the Together We Remember Coalition, made up of leading genocide education and human rights organizations, invite you to join twenty-four hours of inclusive name-readings, insightful speakers, and inspiring performances that honor upstanders, victims, and survivors of genocide and identity-based violence throughout history.
The panel discussion aims to discuss best practices and future actions of regional bodies and international institutions in response to current alarming trends of growing xenophobia, racism and intolerance, violent misogyny, anti-Semitism, and anti-Muslim hatred around the world.
